Chosen Site: Site 1
I have chosen site 1 because it seems like a very interesting site. In particular I am very fond of its slender nature which could give rise to a unique form. Additionally, after my site visit to Newtown, I was very inspired by the form of site 1 and straight away I started to get ideas about what sort of design could be sited there. Also, with site 1, the building can be sited towards the back to avoid the noise and bad views from King St. Also, there is an alleyway from Church street which can be taken advantage of for deliveries.
Site 3 seems very congested and plain due to the way it is sandwiched in from all sides. Further site 2 seems to be too 'in your face' and ostentatious. Moreover being surrounded by busy roads on all three sides doesn't help its case.

This image shows the three different sites in their urban contexts. Also the possible views from the sites are shown with blue arrows
